Ideas for a bulkhead

Yesterday I mentioned about was to handle the bulkhead in the new dining area. I have pinned a few possible ideas in my Pinterest account.

One idea is to put architrave around it like this type of thing.

someday we'll restore the original pony wall
So we would have most of it as plaster and then add the architrave at the bottom and sides. That would certainly suit the rest of the house.

Or we could try something a little braver like a wooden beam to match the proposed wooden mantle above the fireplace.

Or we could try something a little more period style like this:

Then we could always just do it square set plaster but that doesn't appeal to my eye and looks too much like a display home. I'd prefer a more architectural element.

I'd love to here your comments on which you like the best.

Cheers,
Nat

  3. bobsmith and renovation is really a big task to perform, others may call it as a task that needs enough money and time to consume so that their desired output would be better. Lack of systematic planning and proper inventory of materials that is needed in order to complete the task is the most obvious of all. Also, lack of time budgeting or management can lead to unwanted extra expenditures both for the materials needed and for the labour force.

  4. It's not as easy because food is not considered a drug, and the symptoms are less obvious (or more subtle). You would never be pulled over for eating while driving, or being in possession of a large amount junk food, so there are no external consequences for you to deal with if you are a food addict. No one will stop you from overeating; only you have the power to stop yourself. Substance addiction begins as a learning process for the brain. basement design ideas
