I was so tempted to call this post "Wet Work" after one of the funniest scenes in the movie Horrible Bosses. A brilliant movie by the way and I always love watching it after a crappy day at work to cheer me up.
Anyway, back on topic. We have some jobs that we need to get done that we save for rainy days when we can't get outside. Some of that Dave did this in this yucky 'flashback to winter' week we are having experiencing.
He demolished the gutters from the back of the old part of the house:
Then tonight he put new straight studs alongside the old hardwood studs that we part of the existing house. This is the back of the bathroom.

Then he removed some extra timber from the old pergola that was just hanging around doing nothing.
See that white timber. Oh I can see my Mum sitting inside. She was here for 3 days but just left. |

We got a delivery of more weatherboards yesterday too.
New weatherboards. Let's hope not too many are split this time. |
It is kinda nice to be doing some work on the lower level for a change.
Still wish we could get the floor fixed up. Poor Sammy fell through a hole 2 days ago and it was lucky he only got a bruise on his shin.
While this weather is wicked, I am doing some spring cleaning inside. I cleared out two kitchen utensil drawers and Andrews sock/accessory drawer. Feels so cleansing.
Cheers,
Nat
